tHE HEALING POWER OF LEAFY GREENS
Raw leafy greens are one of the most transformational healing tools for our bodies because they provide the building blocks and trace minerals that make EVERYTHING work!
Alongside glucose, they are the most critical aspect of your diet to focus, as they support the following key aspects of health:
Deeply support the liver and lymph
Correct deficiencies
Play a key role in weight loss
Packed with micro-fats that fill you up and curb cravings
Full of the most highly bio-available proteins on the planet
High anti-viral, anti bacterial, anti-pathogenic
Massage and sweep the intestines of old rancid fats and proteins
Full of critical electrolytes
Sometimes the healing journey can present with a feeling of something missing. Many people turn in circles trying this and that but very often it is not until they are eating enough raw leafy greens that their health transitions to be better place and they truly understand the importance of leafy greens for the first time.
Raw leafy greens provide essential mineral salts, which are so often the missing piece of the health jigsaw.
RAW LEAFY GREENS, B12 & ELEVATED BIOTICS
Elevated biotics are a type of micro-organism found on fresh, unwashed or lightly washed organic leafy greens that are responsible for producing a HIGHLY usable form of B12, probably the most critical nutrient in your body.
There is a misconception that we get this B12 from animal food but it is not so. The B12 from animal food or toxic foods such as nutritional yeast does not reach the central nervous system where it is most needed. If you want to learn more about this topic which I highly recommend, dive into Anthony William's brilliant B12 podcast.

RAW LEAFY GREENS & BLOATING
If you feel bloated from eating leafy greens, it is a sign that there is a build of unproductive bacteria and inflammation in the gut that makes the nerves sensitive, so that when you eat something that is fibrous and not soft like an egg or piece of bread, it can create discomfort from the massaging effect of the fibrous food. Meanwhile, even though foods like eggs, meat and bread feel easier in the moment, they form a sticky mass in the intestine that can sit around adding to the digestive burden.
COOKING VāS RAW
As much as possible, it is best to eat leafy greens raw. When heated, it alters the naturally occurring oxalic acid (which is not at all harmful when leafy greens are raw) and makes it into a form that becomes less usable by the body. Salads, smoothies, juices, raw soups, sauces and dressings, there are lots of ways to prepare raw leafy greens.
Lettuces, rocket, watercress, swiss chard, kale, purslane, spinach, mustard leaves, pok choi, there is so much to choose from! And the picture above, just a little glimpse of what I brought home from the allotment this weekend!
