CLEANSING WITH THE SEASONS
Spring and autumn are the perfect time for cleansing. As nature shifts her seasons, the body shifts too, ready to let go of the winter and summer accumulations. During the winter months, the tendency is to eat richer, denser foods and to move the body less, and so, as we move into spring and nature starts to move, the body wants to shift to a place of lightness and movement. During the summer, there is a tendency to accumulate fire energy, which, in excess, can aggravate the body, and so, as we move into autumn, it is important to clear the extra heat, in order to make space for cooling down and going within for hibernation.
