NATURAL CARE PRODUCTS I LOVE & TRUST
With so much exposure to outside toxicity that is largely unavoidable, I can’t emphasise enough the importance of using natural products, be it on your body, hair, nails, or in your home.
With your skin being the largest and heaviest organ in the body, it is a major site of absorption for the good, the bad, and the ugly, and it is hugely influenced by the health of your beautiful, miraculous liver!
When the liver is overburdened and unable to filter all the toxins it gets bombarded with including creams, lotions and potions, make up, shower gels and shampoos, household cleaning products and sun creams, some of that overload will be carried in the blood to the skin for excretion, and this, in turn, contributes to liver spots and other skin blemishes, for example.
The health of your hair is also hugely related to what’s happening beneath the surface. Too much adrenaline is a major issue here, as it depletes the hormone in the adrenals that is responsible for keeping hair on your head.
This is why the quality of the hair can be so affected following a stressful period or time of illness, although sometimes it won’t show in the hair for several months after the stressful period. Nourishing both the adrenals and the liver is crucial for healthy hair.
Seeking out reliable natural products may take a little more time but it's SO worth it! Here are a few of my favourites to get you started.........
SKIN, HAIR & TEETH
Hands down my favourite brand for all things beauty is Living Libations. From creams and oils to dental care, deodorant, shampoo and the most beautiful essential oils on the market (in my view), I am a lover of this Canadian brand, which is also available to buy here in the UK.
Some of my favourite Living Libations products include:
True Blue Spirulina Shampoo (they also do conditioner but I have found by using this shampoo made of essential oils that I no longer need conditioner).
Another really great brand of fluoride free toothpaste is PerioBrite, available from the Natural Dispensary.

Another favourite brand of mine is our own beloved UK based Neal’s Yard Remedies. I always feel excited when I come home with new products from Neal’s Yard and especially love......
And lastly, a great brand of natural soaps and shower gels is DR. Bronner’s Magic Soaps, also available at the Natural Dispensary. These are inexpensive, gentle and effective.
LOO PAPER!
Believe it or not, most brands of loo paper contain an array of toxic chemicals including chlorine, formaldehyde, petroleum based mineral oils and paraffin, fragrances and BPA, all of which are incredibly harmful for your health. The whiter, fluffier and more scented your loo paper, the more toxic it is likely to be!
The skin around the yoni and anus are highly sensitive, with the anus being a prime site for absorption, which is why medications are administered this way! It is well worth taking care of these precious parts and investing in clean loo paper!
My favourite brand is Who Gives a Crap, which gets delivered to my door on a super flexible subscription basis.
CLEANING PRODUCTS
A reliably clean and gentle brand I like to use is Bio-D. They have an array of kitchen, bathroom, laundry products to choose from.
CANDLES
A word of caution when it comes to scented candles, STAY WELL CLEAR!
And the same goes for scented sticks, air fresheners, perfumes and colognes. These products contain chemicals that burden the lungs and weaken the nervous system acting as a trigger for brain fog, dizziness, anxiety, migraines and headaches, among other symptoms.
If you like to use candles, seek out natural sources made from beeswax and essential oils. A really beautiful company you might want to check out is Skar Organics.
